The Department of Telecommunications (DoT) launched an official website called TAFCOP Portal (Telecom Analytics for Fraud Management and Consumer Protection).
This portal allows Indian users to check the total SIM cards registered on their Aadhaar ID or mobile number.

How Many SIM Cards Can You Have on One ID?
As per Department of Telecommunications (DoT) rules, an individual can have a maximum of 9 SIM cards registered under one ID in India.
For Jammu & Kashmir, Assam, and North-Eastern states, the limit is 6 SIM cards per ID.
If you exceed this limit, the extra SIM cards may be deactivated automatically.
Step by step process:
• First open the portal https://tafcop.sancharsaathi.gov.in/telecomUser/
• Log in with mobile number and OTP in the box here.
• You will see a list of all the active SIM card mobile numbers from your ID.
• If there is a number in this list that you are unaware of, you can report it.
• For that, select the number and select ‘This is not my number’.
• Submit the name written in the ID given in the box above.
• Now click on the Report box below.
• You will also get a ticket ID reference number after making a complaint.
